Country Bank

A small local bank with a big heart is the best way to describe Country Bank. With offices in many of the towns affected by the 2011 tornado, Country Bank has been instrumental in supporting local homeowners and businesses in the wake of the storm. But the idea of giving back to the community goes back well before the tornado. For many years now, Country Bank has been giving back to the communities it serves to make sure that they are great places to live, work, and raise a family. Each year the bank donates hundreds of thousands of dollars in community grants, as well as allowing its employees time to volunteer in local pursuits.  In fact the very day of the Tornado Country Bank made a significant donation to the purchase of a new ambulance in Brimfield - an ambulance which within hours of being put into service responded and saved lives in the wake of the disaster!

We are grateful to Country Bank and their community relations department for their generous underwriting of the Toto book project. Thanks Country  Bank!!!

The Animal Rescue League of Boston

ARLB-choclab-cardinal-300dpi.jpg

Within hours of the Tornado,  rescue specialists from the Boston Animal Rescue League  were on scene in Brimfield helping out a number of large animals from  barns who had been injured or escaped. Fortunately for Toto, they were also there to help out animals of all sizes. Without their help, experience, and equipment, Toto wouldn't be with us today. The League is the only animal welfare agency in Massachusetts that has an entire department dedicated to field animal rescue services. Its members respond to a range of emergencies that include injured wildlife and stray pets, fires, as well as pets trapped in trees, on ice or in other difficult and inaccessible places. Their Rescue Specialists also assist the League’s law enforcement division in responding to cases of animal abuse. In addition, they’ve partnered with other animal welfare groups to assist with rescues in the aftermath of major natural disasters, including Hurricane Katrina and the Haitian earthquake.  We are pleased that 100% of the proceeds from the book will be going to the Rescue Services team so they can continue to help out animals in need!!

Other Shelters

While we support 2 main shelters, we always team up with our local events to raise money, pet food, and other supplies for area shelters. We have don school programs where students bring in pet food on the day of Toto visits and often go to fundraisers at local shelters. If you would like a Toto visit at your event feel free to reach out to us!
